Description

Issuing sources sought dated 1/16/2018 for veteran businesses (SDVOSB/VOSB) and or small businesses. The veteran business must be registered in SAM and certified in VETBIZ (VIP). All small businesses must be registered in SAM. The requirement is for hygienic cleaning services for surgical scrubs for the Lebanon VA Medical Center. This request is to enter into a garment lease management contract, allowing a sustainable system that ensures hygienically clean, individually wrapped scrubs to be available for surgical and sterile processing staff. The Lebanon VAMC s Infection Prevention department researched the methods of laundering and managing surgical scrubs and has determined using the Hohenstein Certification as a true third-party, review of in-plant processes, microbiological testing of processing surfaces, laboratory validated wash chemistry performance, in-plant confirmation of hygienically clean, validation of HACCP plan, validated 7 log reduction, and quarterly textile testing. This certification addresses not only the cleaning of the linens, but also the management of the process, which is vital to providing safe and hygienically clean surgical scrubs for healthcare facilities. The vendor will be required to individually seal each garment in plastic, ensuring the cleanliness is not compromised through the delivery or storage process of the cycle.
