THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE REPRESENTING A MARKET SURVEY AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS, QUOTATIONS OR INVITATION FOR BIDS. The Department of Veterans Affairs (NCO 08), Tampa FL. is conducting a MARKET RESEARCH to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), small business sources; HUB Zone 8(a), Women-Owned, or small disadvantaged business concerns; and their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code334516 (Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing). The Government intend to award a contract for Base and four year options. See below product information. Brand name or equal to Qiagen. CLIN# STOCK# DESCRIPTION U/I QTY PRICE EXT. PRICE CLIN# 0001 Cost Per Test Program which includes equipment Software, reagents, service and training required to Produce a patient result and keep equipment in optimum condition. MO 12 N/C CLIN# 0002 Test Kit, Molecular Biology, JAK2 V617F, G1849T, 24 reactions per kit, polysmerase chain reaction 24 per kit KT 20 This "Sources Sought Notice" is to determine sources for JAK2 testing (reagent & instruments). The responses to this announcement will assist in determining the socio-economic set aside if feasible. The Veterans Administration is required by Public Law 109-461 to provide first priority to Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) concerns if sufficient firms available to compete under a set aside SDVOSB/VOSB, the solicitation will be set aside to SDVOSB/VOSB. If no response from SDVOSB/VOSB, the solicitation will be reposted set aside to Small Business. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. Interested parties submitting a response to this inquiry must include the following information: name and address of company; business category (SDVOSB, VOSB or Small Business) phone# & fax# of contact and any pertinent information, which demonstrates firm s ability to meet the requirement.
