Description

The Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia, intends to solicit on a sole source basis with SIMIO LLC of Sewickley, PA to provide SIMIO software to provide modeling and simulation building. This equipment will reside in the N81 Computer Lab and will allow N81 to analyze systems and capabilities and provide recommendations to senior Navy leaders on upcoming budget decisions. The Navy intends to solicit for a Firm, Fixed Price type order. This procurement is a sole source acquisition with SIMIO LLC, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 511210. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 19 January 2018. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
