Description
This modification incorporates the following questions received and respective answers. It also extends the quote submission deadline to 0800 CST Tuesday, 23 January 2018. Q1) What's the time frame for performing this contract? A1) Batteries are past their life expectancy date so the sooner the better. Q2) Does it need to be performed at a certain time of the day? A2) During normal hours of operation 7AM to 3:30PM Monday thru Friday, except federal government holidays Q3) Does the service team need to be onsite the same day as the parts are delivered for this? A3) Yes. There is an area on the 5th floor the batteries can be staged short term. The batteries will need to be moved from the loading dock to the 5th floor upon delivery using a flat cart. A pallet WILL NOT go through the doors once outside of the dock area. THERE IS NO STORAGE PERMITTED AT THE DOCK, there is currently another project using the dock plus the everyday deliveries. There is no labor available at site to move the batteries & materials to/from the staging area. Q4) Is there a specific security escort we need to coordinate with? A4) Yes, that information will be released after award. Q5) Is there a loading dock that is accessible to a semi-trailer at 610 S Canal? A5) Yes, but is a very tight fit. A smaller box truck would be preferred. Q6) Also are there any other special requirements such as dock hours, weight restrictions? A6) No as long as the delivery is coordinated with site and the contractor provides the labor and carts to move the batteries once they are off loaded. It is preferred that the old batteries being removed from site be extracted from site immediately after completion.
