Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov. It is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitation to the internet. This is a synopsis for commercial items posted in accordance with FAR 13.105 and supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the most current Federal Acquisition Circular. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, R.I. intends to award a five (5) year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) type contract with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) provisions for the fabrication of titanium couplings and sleeves in accordance with Distribution "D" drawings: 1200D4566, 8045432, 8045434-2, 8045474, 8045751, 8045752, 8045753-5, 2310C0076-1, 2310C0076-2, 2310C0076-3, 1730D0131, and 1730D0130 attached hereto. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is currently providing lifecycle support for Navy towed arrays. The required couplings and sleeves are used to manufacture hose assemblies, which are then issued to array module repair jobs, and must be maintained in sufficient inventory to support uninterrupted repair. Offerors must be registered in System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/) to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the website. This procurement will be solicited as 100% small business set aside under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 332710 as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). The small business size standard is 500 employees. The following addenda or additional terms and conditions apply: Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating is DO-C9. The anticipated release date of solicitation N66604-18-Q-0505 is on, or about, 31 January 2018. The closing date for receipt of proposals will be established in the solicitation. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will be posted to the FEDBIZOPPS.gov website. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for monitoring the site for any amendments.
