Description
This project is for the establishment of Navigational Aids (NAVAIDS) Facilities serving new Runway 9C-27C at O ™Hare International Airport, Chicago, Illinois. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials, and equipment to perform the project in accordance with the contract clauses, drawings, and specifications. The project work includes, but not limited to, the following: Runway 9C: 1. Construction of the high intensity dual mode approach lighting system, ALSF-2/SSALR, including: A. Construction of the 24 ™ x 64 ™ stick-built building with concrete foundation for the Runway 9C ALSF-2/SSALR Regulator Substation and Engine/Generator Building including all of its appurtenances. This building shall also serve as the Runway 27C LOC equipment shelter. B. Installation of new power and control conduits to connect to a City-installed handhole system for the future cables for the ALSF lighting system to be installed by the City at a future date. 2. Construction of the Runway 9C GS facility, including installation of the antenna mast, concrete foundation and electrical cabling. 3. Construction of the Runway 9C Inner Marker upon a City installed concrete foundation including installation of the antenna mast, and electrical cabling to the Runway 9C ALSF-2/SSALR Regulator/Sub-Station within City supplied underground ducts. 4. Construction of the Runway 9C FFM upon a City installed concrete foundation including installation of the antenna mast, and electrical cabling to the Runway 9C ALSF-2/SSALR Regulator/Sub-Station within City supplied underground ducts. 5. Installation of the Runway 9C TD RVR upon City installed concrete foundations including the construction of the visibility pole, and electrical cabling to the Runway 9C GS within City supplied underground ducts. 6. Construction of the Runway 27C LOC antenna array upon City installed concrete foundations including underground cabling to the Runway 9C ALSF-2/SSALR Regulator/Sub-Station within City supplied underground ducts. 7. Construction of the Runway 9C PAPI array upon City installed concrete foundations including underground cabling to the Runway 9C GS within City supplied underground ducts. Runway 27C: 8. Construction of the Runway 27C FFM upon a City installed concrete foundation including installation of the antenna mast, and electrical cabling to the Runway 27C ALSF-2/SSALR Regulator/Sub-Station within City supplied underground ducts. 12. Installation of the Runway 27C TD RVR including the construction of the visibility pole on City installed concrete foundations and electrical cabling within City supplied ducts to the Runway 27C GS. 13. Construction of the Runway 9C LOC antenna array upon City installed concrete foundations including underground cabling to the Runway 27C ALSF-2/SSALR Regulator/Sub-Station within City supplied underground ducts. 14. Construction of the Runway 9C PAPI array upon City installed concrete foundations including underground cabling to the Runway 9C GS within City supplied underground ducts. Runway 9C-27C Mid-Point RVR: 15. Construction of the Runway 9C-27C MID RVR upon City installed foundations including the construction of the visibility pole, and electrical cabling to the Runway 9C GS within City installed underground ducts. Runway 9C-27C DME: 16. Construction of the Runway 9C-27C DME including the construction of the support pole, foundation and electrical cabling to the Runway 9C ALSF-2/SSALR Regulator/Sub-Station. 17. Construction of the access roads into the facilities. 18. Construction of bituminous asphalt parking/turnaround areas around each of the four shelters. 19. Miscellaneous civil and electrical work as described in the drawings and specifications. The anticipated start date of this project is September 1, 2018. The contract performance time is 200 calendar days with the following schedule. Site City Supplied Date Building Occupancy Runway 27C GS 9/1/2018 12/1/2018 Runway 27C ALSF 9/1/2018 1/1/2019 Runway 9C ALSF 11/1/2018 3/1/2019 Runway 9C GS 5/15/2019 8/15/2019 The contractor must confer with the Contracting Officer ™s Representative (COR) at regular intervals in regard to the prosecution of the work according to the progress schedule. The estimated price range for this procurement is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. INTERESTED FIRMS MUST HAVE SUCESSFULLY COMPLETED SIMILAR PROJECTS BOTH IN DOLLAR AMOUNT AND SCOPE OF WORK AT AN OPERATIONAL AIRPORT. General contractors must submit their interest in subject project on company letterhead and should include the firm's name, address, telephone number, fax number, email address, and point of contact.
