Description

SYNOPSIS: This is the annual NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg synopsis for orders to be placed for the next year under repair Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00104-15-G-A105 with L3 Technologies, Inc., Williamsport, PA (CAGE 89146). The scope of work, which may include the acquisition of piece parts, is for the restoration of depot level repairable Electron Tubes in support of various platforms, including AN/SPS- 48(E) Radar and AN/SPN-41/41A. The restored tubes will be returned to the supply system for stock for immediate Fleet use. Several items to be restored are: Electron Tube, NSN 7HE 5960-00-001-1632; Electron Tube, NSN 7HH 5996-01-221-9471; and Electron Tube, NSN 7HH 5960-01-262-0354. Technical data is not available and cannot be furnished. All items on the BOA require Government source-approval prior to contract award, since the items are critical and the technical data available has not been determined adequate to support repair by other than L3 Technologies, Inc., Williamsport, PA (CAGE 89146). The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
