Description

SYNOPSIS: NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) Mechanicsburg will be placing a repair Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Communications and Power Industries “ Microwave Power Products Division, CAGE 99313, Palo Alto, CA, for repair of various Electron Tubes. The scope of work, which may include the acquisition of piece parts, is for the restoration of depot level repairables in support of various platforms, including Mk 92 FCS and Mk 86 GFCS. The restored items will be returned to the supply system for stock for immediate Fleet use. Several items to be restored are: Electron Tube, NSN 7HH 5960-01-373-5313, Electron Tube, NSN 7HH 5960-00-906-6087, and Electron Tube, NSN 7HH 5960-00-450-2229. Technical data is not available and cannot be furnished. All items on the BOA require Government source-approval prior to contract award, since the items are critical and the technical data available has not been determined adequate to support repair by other than Communications and Power Industries “ Microwave Power Products Division. The time required for approval of a new source is normally such that an award cannot be delayed pending approval of a new source.
