Description

NAVSUP FLC, Seal Beach Industry Day Notice Title: Abrasive Blast Booth/Sandblaster Repair and Overhaul Background: The Underwater Weapons Department at NMCPAC CWD Unit Seal Beach has a requirement to refurbish mine assets for the fleet. The current abrasive blast booth that UWD Mine Shop uses is currently inoperable. It is used to clear debris from mine assets when they are returned from exercises. Blasting the shapes is the first and most critical step in the refurbishment process. Purpose: The purpose of the Industry Day is to have an opportunity for the government to expresses its goals to achieve a fully functional abrasive blast booth, and to solicit feedback from the industry on how to expeditiously repair/overhaul this blast booth in the most efficient process. In addition, this day also serves an opportunity for contractors to thoroughly inspect the blast booth and to provide recommendations and feedback to the government for the anticipated repair/overhaul. Location: NMCPAC CWD Unit Seal Beach Underwater Weapons Department (UWD), Building 78 800 Seal Beach Blvd., Seal Beach, CA 90740 Date: 31 January 2018 Please check into Pass and ID office no later than 0900 a.m. on day of event to obtain your temporary badge to gain base access. The event will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. at Bldg. 78. NWS Seal Beach Pass and ID office is located at 800 Seal Beach Blvd., Seal Beach, CA 90740.
