Description
THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. The General Services Administration has a requirement for design and construction services for the replacement of the existing CSO Screening Station located in the Abernethy Federal Building in Aberdeen, MS and for the alterations to the existing CSO Screening Station located in the U.S. District Courthouse in Oxford, MS. The acquisition is anticipated to be a competitive 100% Small Business set aside. This effort is anticipated to be a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) Source Selection Process and award will be made based upon the Best Value to the Government in accordance with FAR Part 15.3. The resultant award will be a firm-fixed price construction contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 236220 with a corresponding small business size standard of $36.5M. The following brief synopsis should not be considered inclusive of work required to complete the project. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the project. The overall strategic project goal of the Design-Build Contractor is to provide successful design and construction services for the CSO Screening Station replacement and alterations meeting the needs of the U.S. Marshal Service. The performance period for the project will be 120 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $250,000 and $500,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) This is NOT a solicitation and proposals are not being requested or accepted at this time. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will be available on the Federal Governments Electronic Posting System https://www.fbo.gov/ on or about 12 February 2018. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a Government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM database will render your firm ineligible for award. Point of Contact: Tiffanie Oglesby; Email: tiffanie.oglesby@gsa.gov
