- Solicitation W912ES-18-T-0035 to supply Blast Media NAICS: 327910 Size Standard: 750 Employees FSC: 5350 Abrasive Materials PSC: 3291 Abrasive Products The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District seeks a contractor to supply blasting agent, brand name 12-40 grit Black Magic® OR EQUAL, with dust suppressant, with the total quantity not to exceed (NTE) 105 tons. Material will be delivered in 3,000 lb bags to Fountain City Service Base in quantities of not less than 24 tons, and not greater than 32 tons per delivery. Delivery will commence 9 February 2018, with the initial delivery being as close to 32 tons as possible. The remaining material will be delivered in quantities requested (24 - 32 tons per delivery) within 3 days of notification. Deliveries will be completed prior to 1 April 2018. Blasting agent must be Brand Name 12-40 grit Black Magic® with dust suppressant OR EQUAL, meeting the following salient characteristics: • 12-40 grit blasting agent • Must have dust suppressant • Non-silica based • Will leave a 3 - 5 mil profile on steel for later application of vinyl paint • Must meet the following technical specification requirements: o Hardness: 6 to 8.5 on the Moh's scale o Specific Gravity: 2.6 - 4.2 o Hard, Angular particle shape If vendor proposes to supply material other than brand name Black Magic®, technical data sheet shall be submitted with quote for Government review and approval. Protective covering and pallets shall be provided for the blasting material. Quoted price shall include all costs associated with packaging, transportation, delivery, and off-loading. In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers), the contractor must provide registration information to the System for Award Management (SAM). All Offerors must be registered in SAM, have an active account, and have completed the Representations & Certification sections (FAR and DFARS) prior to receiving an award. Initial registration could take up to 4 weeks. Registration instructions may be obtained, and online registration may be accomplished, at www.sam.gov.
