Sources Sought only. This is a REQUEST FOR INFORMATION only. This Sources Sought Notice is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions on determining the viability of set aside to a specific socio-economic category. Contractors shall identify the NAICS code for the services being offered as well as their size standard under said NAICS. This information will be used to determine the viability of a set aside for this requirement. Contractors shall also identify any Federal Supply Schedule that they may carry for the desired services. Contractors shall identify pertinent point of contact for company, contractor DUNS number for size standard and socioeconomic verification in SAM and VIP. Contractors shall include any relevant comments about the attachment(s), if applicable. Documentation of technical expertise/capability statement must be presented in sufficient detail for the Government to determine that your company possesses the necessary functional area expertise and experience to compete for this acquisition. The intent is to award a Firm Fixed Price contract. Place of Performance: Department of Veterans Affairs Canandaigua VA Medical Center 400 Fort Hill Avenue Canandaigua, New York 14424-1159 Period of Performance: March 1, 2018 February 28, 2019 with a provision of four option years Purpose and Objectives: The Canandaigua VA Medical Center located at 400 Fort Hill Avenue, Canandaigua, New York has a requirement for the semi-annual inspection of the Fire Suppression System. The Contractor shall provide a certified fire protection technician to perform inspection services in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines. The contractor shall make recommendations based on findings to the Canandaigua VAMC Fire and Engineer Department. Inspections and any associated recommendations must be in conjunction with NFPA and Joint Commission standards. Items to be Inspected: B2 Kidde WHDR 600-400 w/fusible links B2 Ansul R102, 3 gallon w/2 fusible links B4 Kidde WHDR-600 w/3 fusible links B4 Kidde WHDR-260 w/3 fusible links B36 Protex 360 w/1 fusible link B3 Ansul R-102, 3 gallon w/1 fusible link B8 Ansul R-102, 3 gallon w/1 fusible link B7 Ansul R-102, 1.5 gallon w/1 fusible link B5 Ansul R-102, 1.5 gallon w/1 fusible link B9 Ansul R-102, 1.5 gallon w/1 fusible link Important information: The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Response Date: The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code for this requirement is 561210 (Facilities Support Services) with a Small Business size standard of $38.5 million. Please note at least 50 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance shall be spent for employees of the concern for a proposal to be considered for a small business set-aside. Any offeror capable of providing this service shall notify the Contract Specialist by email no later than February 2, 2018, 12:00 PM EST. Phone calls will not be accepted.
