Description
Purpose and Objectives: The intent of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential businesses especially any Small Businesses and SDVOSB offerors capable of providing Carefusion equipment as listed in the below Scope of Work. In addition, we are seeking any Small Businesses manufacturers of this product as well. These are for the VA Medical Center in Erie, PA 16504. Responses to this Sources Sought Notice should demonstrate the firm's ability, capability, and responsibility to provide the principal components of supplies listed in the attached document. Responses should include the following information: Business name, address, Point of Contact, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business info and if they are a manufacturer of the items. All information is to be submitted via e-mail at Ronald.Kline@va.gov. Information provided will not be returned. All responses shall be in the English Language. Responses are due by 12:00 pm (EST) on Friday, February 9, 2018. No submissions will be accepted after this date and time. Questions can be submitted electronically to at Ronald.Kline@va.gov. This is a Sources Sought Notice and submissions will be used for informational and planning purposes only. This notice does not constitute a formal Request for Quote (RFQ), nor is the government obligated to issue an RFQ. In addition, the Government does not intend to pay for any information provided under this notice. The Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. SCOPE OF WORK JUSTIFICATION: The Erie VA Medical Center currently has Pyxis Medstation 4000 Automated Dispensing Cabinets that store medications throughout the facility prior to administration to the veteran. The Erie VA is currently building a new Community Living Center (CLC) and will need additional Automated Dispensing Cabinets to store medications prior to use for patients in the CLC. SERVICE: The vendor shall be responsible for the delivery of the new Automated Dispensing Cabinets. Based on configuration of the new CLC as well as the number of patients it was determined that two (2) separate Automated Dispensing Cabinet stations are needed in the new CLC. Each station will consist of a 6 drawer main cabinet, a 7 drawer auxiliary cabinet and a double wide tower. The new pyxis equipment will connect to the VA network and will be set up with pyxis profiling so the nurse can only remove medications for a patient when there is an order for that medication. The vendor will configure and install all new Automated Dispensing Cabinets and Towers in the specified location of the new CLC. The operation/communication of the new cabinets and towers with the server will be verified before the workstation can be accepted as operational. The vendor shall work with the Pharmacy ADPAC and IT to ensure that the new Automated Dispesning Cabinets and Towers communicate with VISTA/CPRS. SECURITY: Upon arrival at the VA Medical Center, the vendor shall stop at the VA Police office and obtain a contractor s badge. The vendor will proceed to the Pharmacy to begin the equipment upgrade.
