- THIS IS A PRESOLICITATION NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. NO SPECIFICATIONS OR DRAWINGS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid -Atlantic, Public Works Department Maine, is seeking eligible business firms capable of performing a construction contract to provide structural repairs to deteriorated electrical manholes and duct banks across the shipyard identified as high risk. This will acquisition will be available for full and open competition. The Invitation for Bid (IFB) will be issued on or about 2/13/2018. The procurement method is Sealed Bidding in accordance with FAR Part 14. A bid due date of approximately 3/14/2018 is anticipated for the subject project, with a public bid opening held immediately after bid closing. Project Description: Project will provide repairs to ground level rails located within the Controlled Industrial Area of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard. Work includes Dry Dock #3 Crane Rail Replacement, Berth 6 Maintenance Spur Rail Replacement, and other miscellaneous repairs identified in scope of work. The project includes base pricing and three additional options. Period of Performance/Contract Completion Date: The period of performance on this project will be 365 days after award. Contract Magnitude: The magnitude of this construction project for the base and all options is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00 IAW FAR 36.204. The Northern American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990. Representation and Certifications are required to be updated annually as a minimum to keep information current, accurate and complete.
