Description

STATEMENT OF WORK (SOW) MTS Workstation 3. Background The New Mexico VA Health Care System (NMVAHCS) Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) Blood Bank Department requires 3 MTS Workstations for appropriate incubation and centrifugation of gel cards used for blood bank testing. The Blood Bank Department has a current contract in place with Ortho Clinical Diagnostics for the purchase of MTS Anti-IGG Gel Cards used for various blood bank tests. These cards require a special incubator/centrifuge. The department has been using older models of the Ortho incubator/centrifuge, but these products are beyond their life cycle and no longer supported or repairable. New workstations must be purchased to ensure critical blood bank testing can continue using the gel card method. 4. Scope: This is a one time request for Brand Name Ortho Diagnostics Chemical Testing Equipment Part #6904630. 5. Specific Tasks. We are requesting high quality Brand Name workstations that work with the current gel cards can meet specific needs of incubation and centrifugation required by the gel card. Ortho Workstation IDMTS Gel # 6904630- Quantity of 3 Specific criteria the centrifuge must meet: Integrated 2 in 1 that contains incubation and centrifugation components Must be validated for use with ID-MTS gel cards Must accommodate ID-MTS gel cards in both incubation and centrifugation components Include 2 operator manuals one physical one electronically if available Include 2 maintenance manuals one physical one electronically if available 5.1 Task 1 - Enterprise Management Controls. 5.1.1 Subtask 1 - Integration Management Use/lab maintenance of the workstation is described in detail in the blood bank procedure manuals. Does this need to be connected to any computers or equipment? If not the I ll just delete this section 6. Performance Monitoring Lab staff will contact biomedical engineering if there are any questions about the performance of the workstation. Item will be inspected upon delivery. 7. Security Requirements: The C&A requirements do not apply. A Security Accreditation Package is not required. 8. Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE)/Gov t-Furnished Information (GFI). N/A d. Packaging, Packing and Shipping Instructions. None, the warehouse can unpack the units. e. Inspection and Acceptance Criteria. The workstations should come with a warranty and will be inspected by Bio-med prior to use. 10. Risk Control Staff is familiar with use of the workstations, which is part of annual safety training for all staff working in the laboratory. 11. Place of Performance. Government site: NMVAHCS, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service, Blood Bank Department, Bldg. 41, Room BA102. 12. Period of Performance. ASAP this is a one-time equipment purchase 13. Delivery Schedule. Delivery 30 Days After Order Received (ARO)
