THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. The NCO 12, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, 115 S. 84th Street, Suite 101, Milwaukee, WI 53214, is performing market research. This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339112. The William S. Middleton VA Medical Center in Madison, WI has a need for Brand Name or Equal (Room Service Meal Delivery Carts: Alluserv Model No. ST1D1T8). Specifications: Kind of material (i.e., type, grade, alternatives, etc.): 18 gauge stainless steel sides for durability and 16 gauge stainless steel top and bottom for durability and increased strength. Doors to have magnetic closers with pivot transport latch. Rubber bumpers on all bottom corners for durability. Utility Data (i.e., 110 v, 60 Hz, 3 Ph, etc.): None Dimensions, size, capacity: Single compartment, ability to accommodate (8) room service trays that are either 15 inches by 20 inches or 14 inches by 18 inches. Compartment floor needs to have pitched drain with plug. Side panels with 5 inch wide folded channels to reduction noise during transport. Lift off design door hinges that allow door to swing 270 degrees. Doors to have magnetic closers with pivot transport latch. Doors will need to be able to be held in fully open position by a magnet mounted on the cabinet exterior along with a magnetic catch plate mounted to the exterior of the door. Tray ledge panels need to be removeable for easy cleaning and have friction cam design to minimize vibration. Vents on the end panels for venting of air. Need a tubular rail on 3 sides for ease of use. (4) six inch casters, 2 rigid and 2 swivel, offset for travel on un-even surfaces. 2 inch caster wheels with soft rounded tread for noise reduction. Caster will have ¼ inch neoprene pad between mount plate and unit undercarriage to reduce floor vibration/noise. Anti-static floor strap to reduce static buildup. Intended use: Carts will be used to deliver patient meal trays to inpatients in the hospital for the new meal service of room service in the new kitchen that is currently being constructed. Minimum 2 year warranty. If an authorized distributor, a memo or correspondence which authorizes distributor to distribute the manufacturer s products. If an authorized distributor, a statement explaining the added value provided with this purchase. Reference the product, facility and sources sought number on all correspondence regarding this announcement. TELEPHONIC INQUIRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339112 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees.
