- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source purchase Order to AeroVironment, 800 Royal Oaks Drive, Suite 210, Monrovia, CA. The Federal Aviation Administration, material Management Branch (AML-4060) has a requirement to acquire a Puma and two Raven kits. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. AeroVironment is the Manufacturer (OEM); this is in the best interest of the FAA because it provides the best means meeting configuration management requirements. The proposed NAICs code for this acquisition is 336411, Aircraft & Airframe Structural components, with a size standard of 1,500 employees. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. Acompetitive solicitation is not available for this procurement.
