Description

The purpose of this amendment is to answer vendor submitted questions. Question: The OEM for my proposed equipment has informed me that they cannot provide pricing for the out-years. Would you consider pricing based on a percentage above the manufacturer s list price as outlined in the table? The bidders would be held to the percentage they propose. They have the latitude to keep the percentage constant for all years or change it; at their discretion. If it changes for one it changes across the board - so your analysis can be based on the total cost per year bid. If the manufacturer changes their pricing the price in the schedule will change. Otherwise it remains constant. Manufacturer List Price SDVOSB Rate (%) ***3% SLA FEE Total Proposed Price (SLA Fee Included) $1,000.00 111.00% $33.30 $1,143.30 Answer: We require firm pricing as we will be using ordering officers on the resulting contract and they are not authorized to negotiate pricing. All vendors face this business decision, and if that is the way you wish to show your escalation it s fine. The total proposed price is what will be evaluated, and it will be a fixed price that the vendor is held to in the base and all options exercised regardless of the manufactures pricing in those out years.
