Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Iowa City, IA, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement under the authority FAR 6.302-3 with the University of Iowa for the period of 10/1/2017 to 9/30/2018 for The University of Iowa will provide labor to process the following activities related to the funded research project: (1) Perform perimetric research on patients including differential lightsensitivity in the visual field laboratory. (2) Coordinate and schedule patients to participate in the study. There is no government furnished property. The University of Iowa, Department of Ophthalmology, has the specialized equipment and experienced personnel to test patients at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. It is necessary to usethe services of the University of Iowa to meet the VA merit review #C1821-R, entitled Testing of the far peripheral visual field - Obtaining the Full View, Principal Investigator: Michael Wall, MD. Interested parties may identify their experience in providing these services to the Contracting Officer via e-mail at gary.rogers4@va.gov or fax 319-358-6430. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Request for quotes 36C26318Q0323 for above requirement, NAICS 611310, size standard $33.5 million will be issued on 9/1/2017. The deadline to submit a quote is 9/15/2017.
