Description: One U.S. flag (upon delivery), container vessel with the capability to carry about 4 TEU's comprised of hazardous material (CLASS 7 and CLASS 8) and about 2 TEU's of general cargo from Yokosuka, Japan to Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF), Bremerton, Washington. Additionally there is an optional stop in Guam to pick up about 15 wood and metal boxes (8'L x 4'W x 5'H) comprised of hazardous material (CLASS 7 and CLASS 4.1). Barges or Integrated Tug and Barges (ITBs) are not acceptable for this movement due to the nature of the cargo. Delivery is Far East (intention Yokosuka, Japan); redelivery is USWC, Pacific (intention Bremerton, Washington). The layday commences and cancels 19 April 2018. The charter period will be about 32 days. 17. Set-aside Status: Total Small Business Set-aside 18. The decision to release this solicitation as a Total Small Business Set-aside is based on responses received from a recent market survey for this service. MSC's Small Business Associate has concurred with this decision.
