- Official Request for Information (RFI), to include the questions that need responses. REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) The USAF solicits responses to this Request for Information (RFI), as defined in FAR 15.201(e), to obtain technical information, price, delivery, and other market information or capabilities for planning purposes. Interested contractors are encouraged to submit a Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) and technical information. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary and no information will be returned. This RFI is not a request for competitive proposals; therefore, responses to this notice are not considered offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. Companies that respond will not be paid for the information. If simplifying assumptions are needed to prepare the ROM and any other technical information, respondents are encouraged to make and document the assumptions used in their responses. Any information obtained will be considered market research and may be used as a general concept, however any specific information will be treated as proprietary information, if so marked. Requirement Description: AFMC/AFLCMC Precision Guided Munitions (EBHGA) - Hill AFB is seeking information to produce a transportation and handling method to move a 22,600 pound munition with custom pallet, ~30 feet long, 9 feet wide, with a net explosive weight of 18,700 pounds into a storage structure using the following information: 1. Door Dimensions of Storage Structure: 10' High x 10' Wide 2. Move each munition with pallet from the apron into the storage structure 3. Apron is approximately 25' Long x 25' Wide 4. Storage structure is 90' Long x 25' Wide 5. Storage structure and munition with pallet are not to be modified 6. Each storage structure will house up to three pallets (maximum of ten munitions and four structures total) 7. Long-term storage capability required ->10 years 8. Government wants ability to move munitions in and out of storage structure without contractor assistance.
