Solicitation # HHSN-NIH-CCOPC-SBSS-18-006157 This is a Small business Sources Sought notice. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding: (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources:(2) whether there are small businesses, HUBZONE small businesses, service disabled veteran-owned small businesses or (8a) small businesses, veteran- owned small business, woman-owned small businesses or small disadvantaged businesses veteran owned small businesses; woman owned businesses, or small disadvantaged businesses and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your response to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. An organization that is not considered a small business under the applicable code should not submit a response to this notice. Background Information Background Information: The Nutrition Department serves over 150 therapeutic and research diets utilizes by patients at the Clinical Center, Every food item/product /nourishment undergoes a comprehensive review by a Registered Dietician before it can be added to the food management system database (CBORD), included on the room service menu and served to a patients. These reviews are conducted on a ongoing basis to ensure that the Nutrition Department is in compliance with all regulatory requirements (FDA) for safe patient care. The Nutrition Department must not only ensure that patients receive the best nutritional care, but also ensure the integrity in a variety of areas, Clinical Dietician is available to consult with CC investigation regarding the planning, design, and implementation of nutrition related components of proposed research protocol. Purpose/Duties The purpose of this notice is to procure Hospital performance patient tray cart for the purpose of delivering of meal to all patients at the Clinical center facility. SCOPE OF WORK The contractor shall deliver the performance patient cart to Nutrition Department for the purpose of delivering meals to patients room in the clinical center. Location: The device delivery location - National Institute of Health, Clinical Center bldg. Nutrition department 10 -CRC/Room B2-2426, Bethesda, MD 20892. Capability Statement is to include: Information regarding respondents; (a), including their availability, experience and informal and other training; (b) current in-house capability to perform the work; (c) prior completed projects of similar nature; (d) corporate experience and management capability; and (e) examples of prior completed Government contracts; references, and other related information: • Respondents, DUNS number, organization name, address, point of contract, and size and type of business (e.g.8(a), HUBZone, etc) pursuant to the applicable NAICS code; • Respondents; technical and administrative points of contract including names, titles addresses, telephone and fax numbers and email addresses; • Respondents must respond to this notice by February 22, 2018 DISCLAIMER AND IMPORTANT NOTICES: This notice does not obligate the Government to award a contract or otherwise pay for the information provided in response. The Government reserves the right to use information provided by respondents for any purpose deemed necessary and legally appropriate. Any organization responding to this notice should ensure that its response is complete and sufficiently detailed to allow the Government to determine the organization qualifications to perform the work. Respondents are advised that the Government is under no obligation to acknowledge receipt of the information received or provide feedback to respondents with respect to any information submitted. After review of the responses received, a pre-solicitation synopsis and solicitation maybe published in Federal Business Opportunities.
