Description
This is a synopsis for noncommercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 5.207 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This procurement is being processed on an unrestricted basis. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334515. The Small Business Size Standard is 750 Employees. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, RI (NUWCDIVNPT) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity five (5) year contract on a Sole Source basis to Huntron, Inc., 15720 Main Street, Suite 100, Mill Creek, WA 98012 to manufacture and deliver Huntron Model 32 Test Instruments, Model 32 Accessories Kit, and Model 32 Storm Cases. NUWCDIVNPT is procuring the Huntron Model 32 Test Instruments and accessories in support of the NAVSEA Miniature/Microminiature Module Test and Repair (2M/MTR) Program. Huntron, Inc. developed and owns the proprietary and intellectual rights to the software used in the Test Instruments. Huntron, Inc. is currently the only vendor, who can meet this requirement and it would be cost prohibitive to qualify another vendor. NUWCDIVNPT intends to purchase the following items on a Firm Fixed Price basis: CLIN 0001: Huntron Model 32 Test Instrument, Quantity: 950 EACH. CLIN 0002: Model 32 Accessories Kit, Quantity: 600 EACH CLIN 0003: Model 32 Storm Cases, Quantity: 600 EACH Delivery is required 90 days from the date of Contract Award, F.O.B. Destination: Naval Undersea Warfare Center Detachment FEO Norfolk (NUWCDETFEO NORFOLK), Portsmouth, VA 23702. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends negotiate with only one source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source. This synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement which will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed acquisition based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
