- A. Objective: To find sources that are qualified to meet the supplies/services as listed in section 11B. Note that the specific requirements in section C are subject to change prior to the release of any solicitation. B. Salient Characteristics The Government requires two (2) mini-spectrometers and operating licenses delivered to Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG), Maryland. The aforementioned spectrometers shall conform to all of the following minimum requirements: CLIN 0001One (1) shall be optimized for use within the 200 -1025 nanometer spectral range, with a 600 grove density and a 500 blaze wavelength CLIN 0002One (1) shall be optimized for use within the 350 - 1000 nanometer spectral range, with a 600 grove density and a 500 blaze wavelength Both spectrometers shall conform to all of the following minimum requirements: •Shall be compact with dimensions not exceeding 125 mm X 100 mm X 50 mm •Shall be lightweight with weight not exceeding 2 pounds •Software shall be provided to run the spectrometer that runs on Windows and Linux operating system and shall provide the user with advanced control of episodic data capture attributes •Shall have a full width half maximum optical resolution of 0.02 nanometers. •Shall have an electronic shutter which prevents saturation. •Shall have an onboard microcontroller, which permits programming and operation of all parameters in the software including control of the light source. •Shall interface to a computer via USB 2.0, fire wire drive or RS-232 (Recommended Standard 232) serial port. •Shall allow multiple interfaces to the spectrometer unit described above such as external triggering, general purpose input/output, RS-232 interface, light sources and analog input/output. •Shall receive its power from the spectrometer. C. Responses: All interested parties should notify this office in e-mail within the posted date. Responses shall include: (I)To what extent each of the specifications can be met. (II) Include your type of business (i.e. commercial, academia), whether your organization is classified as a large or small business based on the 500 employees standard that accompanies NAICS code 333314. If a small business, you must also list any small disadvantaged status you hold [HUBZone, 8(a), Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women Owned Small Business (WOSB), Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB), etc.]. (III)Past experience/ performance through the description of completed projects. (12) Responses to this sources sought are due no later than 10:00 am eastern standard time 02/20/2018.
