Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source: Radiation Light Field Analyzer The Department of Veterans SAO West, Network Contracting Office 19, located at 6162 South Willow Drive Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 intends to enter into sole source purchase order agreement authorized by FAR 13.106- 1(b), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source purchase order to the small business Sun Nuclear Corporation 3275 Suntree Boulevard Melbourne, FL 32940-7514 The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 334519 and the Business Size Standard is 500 employees. The contractor shall provide the Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado with the IC Profiler, a radiation light field analyzer system required for testing the new Hologic Selenia Mammography equipment purchased for the RMRVAMC. To meet Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) standards of the Hologic Mammography equipment, it is required to use proper test equipment that would adhere to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the U.S. Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Thursday, February 27th, 2018. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government in future procurements. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.
