Description

PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE Project No. 537-17-115: Remodel Sterile Processing Service (SPS) Design, Chicago, IL. This construction project is set-aside for Service-Disabled-Veteran-Owned-Small-Business (SDVOSBs). The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and all other resources necessary to construct per plans and specifications Project 537-17-115, Remodel Sterile Processing Service (SPS) Design. The scope of this project requires an Architect/Engineer to provide professional services for the design and construction period services of Sterile Processing Service Renovations project expected to include temporary facilities to house the service during demolition and construction, selective demolition of the planned construction area, and then construction for approximately 8,100sf of renovations of the first floor Bed Tower SPS space and approximately 1000 sf of satellite locations in the Damen Bldg. to reconfigure the space for compliant and efficient work flow as described in the Scope of Services. All services related to the Statement of Work (SOW) shall meet all applicable local, state, and federal codes and directives. Work is to be completed within 354 calendar days of receipt of a Notice to Proceed. In accordance with Public Law 109-461, the Veterans Benefits, Healthcare and Information Technology Act of 2006, Pursuant to 38 USC 8127(d), competition is restricted to SDVOSB construction firms. The solicitation will be issued on/about March 7, 2018 with the bid opening on/about April 6, 2018. The bidder is responsible to monitor and download any amendments from FedBizOps which may be issued to this solicitation. There will be pre-construction conference held for this project and all prospective bidders are encouraged to attend. Details of the pre-construction conference will be included in the solicitation package. The project magnitude range is between $250,000 and $500,000. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) for this procurement is 541310 (Architect-Engineer Services); size standard $7.5 million applies. In accordance with VAAR 819.7003 (b), SDVOSB firms must be verified in the VIP database (www.vip.vetbiz.gov) or hold a Re-verification symbol listed next to the firm s name (this symbol indicates that the firm is undergoing the re-verification process at CVE), prior to award of contract.
