- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE. THIS NOTICE IS ISSUED FOR MARKET RESEARCH PURPOSES ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR INVITATION FOR OFFERORS TO SUBMIT BIDS. A SYNOPIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION MAY BE POSTED AT A LATER DATE WHICH WILL PROVIDE INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDERS TO RESPOND TO THIS OPPORTUNITY. Please only respond to this sources sought notice if you are interested in submitting a bid and capable of performing the work required to complete the project. The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) anticipates the need for a firm-fixed-price contract for a project entitled Replace Chapel Roof at the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Sandstone. FCI Sandstone is located at 2300 County Road 29, Sandstone, MN 55072. The following brief synopsis should not be considered inclusive of work required to complete the project. Furnish all material and labor to install a new, tapered.060 mil EPDM fully adhered roof system. This includes all curbs and flashings. All flashings and metal shall match the existing metal and flashings. The total area of the roofing to be replaced is approximately 7375 square feet. Prior to the new installations, the contractor will remove the existing roofing material and dispose of them in accordance to all state, federal and local laws. The contractor shall be responsible for all tools, equipment, labor and materials necessary for the removal and disposal of the existing roof materials. The contractor shall be a licensed installer for the new roof manufacturer. The contractor shall provide a minimum 15 year total system warranty from the substantial completion date. The performance period for the project will be 90 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $250,000 and $500,000. (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238160 with a corresponding small business size standard of $15 million. Interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. The BOP is seeking small business contractors for this project. Your business size metrics information entered in you SAM registration must be less than or equal to the small business size standard specified above. Interested small business contractors are requested to respond to this notice by adding their names to the Interested Vendors List for this posting in FedBizOpps.gov (must be logged-in to your account). The synopsis of proposed contract action will include further instruction for responding to this opportunity. Interested bidders are advised to continuously monitor FedBizOpps.gov for all future updates.
