Description
Site Visit is 29 January 2018 at 1000hrs, Please refer to the Soliciation for more details. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clarification was requested on 2/20/2018 and it was in the governments best interest to resolve any confusion. Q: Due to the language in 01011 Part 1 Paragraph A., ii, d. which states the slab must be fenced to prevent flightline access. And then in the Q&A's, the question regarding the trench drain down the building is directed to be filled according to Section 02221; Part 3; Para L. I assume the building slab is to remain, is this correct? A: Yes the building slab is to remain. Q: And then in 02050 Part 3, Para L, it describes basement slab to be broken up for drainage. If the hangar slab is to remain, is the basement slab to be broken up or left as is? A: In O. CLEAN-UP, it states "Debris and rubbish shall be removed from basement and similar excavations." and in K. EXISTING STRUCTURES it states "Basement slabs shall be broken up to permit drainage." So the building slab is to remain and the basement slab is to be broken up and removed. Additionally, M. FILLING Holes states, "open basements and other hazardous openings shall be filled in accordance with Section 02221."
