- COMMISSARY EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION, 2B03 Cake Decorator Systems for the Defense Commissary Agency Commissary Locations (CONUS & OCONUS) THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. Section I - Description This Request for Information (RFI) is in support of Market Research being conducted by the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) to determine the availability of Cake Decorating Systems in the market. The Government requests that parties interested in responding to potential future solicitations for Cake Decorating Equipment provide product descriptions that correspond with the general operating specifications in Attachment 1, Commissary Equipment Description (CED 2B03). The requirement is to provide a Commercially-Off-the-Shelf (COTS) computer system with one unique requirement, the printer must print using edible frosting sheets and edible ink. The required Cake Decorating Systems will include the following components: PC, monitor, keyboard, mouse, multi-purpose printer, and cake printing software (pre-loaded or CD). The system is expected to be shipped to multiple locations CONUS and OCONUS and must be shipped ready-to-use (minimal assembly and set up required). In addition, each component of the system must be replaceable and/or compatible with the same or similar COTS products and be non-proprietary in nature. Section II - Response Instructions: Interested parties shall describe the cake decorating systems offered by their organization as it relates to the product described in the attached Commissary Equipment Description. The anticipated small business size standard associated with the NAICS code for this effort is 453998 - All Other Miscellaneous Store Retailers, is $7.5 Million. If known, please include your company's size classification and socio-economic status in any response to this notice. The following information is requested to be provided as part of the response to this sources sought notice: 1. Name, Address, DUNS number, CAGE code, and point of contact information of your company. 2. Any information on the company's small business certifications, if applicable. 3. Description of your company's Cake Decorating System offerings that correspond with those described in this notice. Please include whether or not your company offers stand-alone cake printing software. 4. A description of your company's previous experience providing the systems described in this notice. 5. Indication of whether the systems described in this notice are currently on one or more GSA Federal Supply Schedule (FSS) contracts and, if so, the applicable contract number(s). 6. Any other relevant information that is not listed above which the Government should consider in finalizing its market research. Responses are due back no later than Monday, February 26, 2018 at 5:00 PM EST. Disclaimer: The RFI is issued solely for informational and planning purposes.
