Description

The Department of Veterans' Affairs is seeking the services of a qualified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business construction company to provide all labor, material, transportation, equipment and qualified supervision required to construct the SCI Enhancement Center project #652-314 located at the H.H. McGuire VA Medical Center, 1201 East Broad Rock Boulevard, Richmond, Virginia, 23249. In general, the project scope includes construction of a 20,000 square foot addition to the existing main medical center building (Building 500). The project also includes mechanical, electrical, plumbing work including a new rooftop unit and emergency generator. Alterations include connection to the existing building and modification of the existing parking lot. Alterations to the existing site include new walks, grading, relocation of existing utilities and site drainage. The work shall be performed in strict accordance with construction drawings and specifications prepared by A E Works LTD and completed within 540 days from receipt of the Notice to Proceed. This includes final Inspection and cleanup. The NAICS code for this project is 236210 with a small business size standard of $36.5 million. The estimated construction cost is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The drawings and specifications will be uploaded as part of the solicitation on or about 03/06/2018. A date and time for a pre-proposal conference / site visit will be stated in the solicitation. No other site visits will be conducted. Questions or Requests for Information (RFI s) from Bidders must be typewritten and e-mailed to the Contracting Officer, Mark S. Harville @ mark.harville@va.gov. This procurement is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Offers are solicited only from SDVOSB concerns and offers received from concerns that are not from SDVOSB concerns shall not be considered.
