Description

Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 22 Gilbert intends to negotiate on a sole source basis [IAW FAR 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b)] with Alvarez LLC, 8251 Greensboro Drive #230, Tysons Corner, VA 22102 as the only responsible source for providing Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Software. Alvarez LLC has proprietary software, patents and intellectual properties rights that are only specific to Alvarez employees that are related to the software technologies that are required during training, configuration, installation and project management. Each manufacturer of all major equipment components that are at VA facilities must also create interfaces to ensure that all equipment connects with the current VA's Veterans Health Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA). This interface is a key component of the physician/patient technological relationship in terms of patient care plans and is proprietary to specific contractors that provide equipment to VA medical facilities. Alvarez currently has this interface throughout all facilities that use their equipment. The Scope of Work is as follows: A. Period of Performance: Base Year, 4/1/2018 - 3/31/2019 - Option Year One, 4/1/2019 3/31/2020 - Option Year Two, 4/1/2020 3/31/2021 - Option Year Three, 4/1/2021 3/31/2022 - Option Year Four, 4/1/2022 3/31/2023 B. Product Description: VA CDI Pro License: Medium Facility License QVA-CDI-MD-SVC: Clintegrity 360 l VA CDI Pro, Term, Annual IP Admissions License (2,001K-10K). Facility Annual License up to 4 concurrent user licenses QVA-CDI-MD-TRM: Clintegrity 360 l VA CDI Pro, Term, Annual IP Admissions License (2,001K-10K) VACDI-AST-PRO: VA CDI pro Assessment VACDI-IMP-PRO: VA CDI Pro Implementation Travel-Z: 1. CDI consultant travel (assessment). 2. Three 3 or 4 day consulting (implementation). 3. Physician Trainer travel (consulting). VACDI-PIMPL-PRO: VA CDI pro Post Implementation Professional Services This acquisition is conducted under the authority of the Multiple Award Schedule Program (IAW FAR 8.4 Federal Supply Schedules). The intended procurement will be classified under NAICS 541519 with a Small Business Size Standard of 150 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit proof of certification, including costs, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same service. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
