Description

FAR CLAUSES FOCFOT Description: The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Ice Breaker & Buoy Tender Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding sole source procurement to Fairbanks Morse, LLC for the following service: 1.06 Day on-site Fairbanks Morse Technical Representative support for inspection of #1 MPDE Crankshaft line and #2 MPDE Vertical drive. Fairbanks Morse, LLC. is the OEM for manufacturing/maintenance of the engines and possess the technical data and/or drawings pertaining to the ability to complete this service. The drawings/technical data are proprietary to Fairbanks Morse, LLC. This procurement will be made on behalf of the USCGC BISCAYNE BAY Vendor will provide all the parts listed above. NAICS Code # 333618 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on 1200 PST Feb 27th 2018 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. All questions concerning this notice must be submitted in writing the Contracting Officer, email address is: Mayra.c.centurion@uscg.mil. The solicitation is restricted to: Fairbanks Morse, LLC. Offers from concerns other than the above are not solicited. If no affirmative responses are received by the date specified above to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, a purchase order will be negotiated and awarded to Fairbanks Morse, LLC.
