Description

The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) intends to a sole source solicitation to Johnson Controls Navy Systems, LLC to open, inspect, repair, and test one (1) York Model FN32A-12 RSS compressor offloaded from a USS submarine. The required work will be performed at vendor's facility. The required delivery date is not later than 03/31/2018. The NAICS Code will be 333415. The proposed contract action is for the procurement of services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Johnson Controls Navy Systems, LLC is the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for York compressors. For proprietary reasons, the only source of these services is from the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), Johnson Controls Navy Systems, LLC (CAGE 66935), a large business. The required repairs will include "direct replacements" parts/components for existing York equipment. Johnson Controls is the only authorized vendor for repairs on this York proprietary equipment. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This notice is for informational purposes only. Solicitation documents are not available at this time. A determination of the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
