Description
Laboratory Decommissioning Survey (IAW MARSSIM) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. All questions must be sent directly to capplegate@usgs.gov by Thursday, 01 March 2018. Contractor is responsible for reading the contents of this document and attachments. Quotes will be accepted via e-mail at capplegate@usgs.gov or FAX to (206) 526-6654. Quotes submitted through FedBizOpps or FedConnect will not be considered. This action is subject to the availability of funds. The solicitation number is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) 140G0318Q0041. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-97, Effective 01 January 2018. Set Aside for Small Business NAICS: 562112; Hazardous Waste Collection; Size Standard = $38.50 million Description of Services: The USGS requires a non-personal services contract to provide all equipment, labor, travel, and materials (unless otherwise noted) necessary for an on-site surveying and decommissioning of several rooms located at the USGS - Western Fisheries Research Center in Seattle, WA in accordance with the Multi-Agency Radiation Survey and Site Investigation Manual (MARSSIM). The contractor shall perform all activities in accordance with all Federal, state, and local laws, statutes, regulations, and codes. The Contractor is solely responsible for site investigation and verification of actual site conditions. A Site Visit will be held on Tuesday, 27 February 2018 at 10 AM. The Performance-Based Work Statement outlines the required Contractor qualifications, work to be performed (including applicable standards and acceptance criteria), and required deliverables. In addition to a quote, as per FAR 52.212-1, offerers are to include a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirements in the solicitation. The Contracting Office requests documentation of past experience with similar decommissioning projects(at least two but no more than four). Place of Performance: Seattle, WA 98115
