Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) is conducting a sources sought announcement seeking to identify potential sources to provide repair services for line replaceable units (LRUs), on-call/on site technical assistance, system level repair, Reset/Overhaul and Post Production Software Support (PPSS) for the AN/TSC-156 Phoenix tactical satellite communications system. The Phoenix is a transportable multi-band, multi-channel Tactical Satellite (TACSAT) Terminal that operates in the C, X, KA, and KU bands over commercial and military satellites. It provides high-capacity range extension at selected Echelon Above Corps and Corps Signal Units and is also being used in missions in support of Overseas Contingency Operations. The Phoenix provides a highly mobile, strategically transportable, wide band communications capability. It replaces legacy Ground Mobile Forces AN/TSC-85/93 terminals in selected Signal Units and will complement those AN/TSC-85/93 terminals that have had their longevity extended via the Service Life Enhancement Program. Depot level repair, on-call technical assistance and Reset services and PPSS are needed to ensure that operational units are available to provide critical mission capabilities.
