This announcement constitutes the only solicitation quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular. The Associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 238990. The National Cemetery Administration Pacific District is seeking quotes from Small Business that are qualified to contract services to install new pressure treated post for two wire fences at Bakersfield National Cemetery. CLIN No. Description: Est. Qty Frequency/Unit Unit Cost Est. Total Cost 0001 Install new pressure treated post for two wire fences at Bakersfield National Cemetery 1 Job $_________ $___________ Total Estimated Cost: $___________ SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor will furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supplies necessary to perform the work to remove old posts and install new pressure treated posts 1. Install a total of 144 posts. The cemetery will provide all new posts needed. 2. Exact location of posts to be determined by the COR and Cemetery personnel 3. Auger a min. 12 hole into the ground 30 deep. 4. Posts cut to the correct dimension shall be supplied by the Cemetery. The Contractor shall soak the cut end of the posts in approved wood preservative a minimum of 8 hours and left to completely dry prior to installation. Chamfer top edges 45 degrees at 1. 5. Install 6x6 pressure treated post making sure it is plumb and level in all directions. Compact fill dirt around posts tightly. 6. Drill two holes for wires to pass through. Refer to existing posts for size and location dimensions. 7. Feed existing fence wire through drilled holes in post. Secure wire at ends as necessary and as per attached detail. 8. Provide concrete footings at end posts as per attached detail and COR direction. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS All work will be coordinated with the Contracting Officer s Representative (COR) and/or the Cemetery Director. Work will be conducted in such a manner to minimize the impact on the Cemetery operations. All work will be accomplished during normal business hours (8:00 am to 4:30 pm) Monday through Friday, except Federal Holidays, or at a time determined by the COR. Only the Contracting Officer (CO) has the authority to make changes to the contract that affects price and/or time.
