- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses interested and capable of providing the requested commodities. The NAICS Code is 339112; size standard is 1,000 employees. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name b) address (c) socio-economic status, (d) point of contact (e) phone, fax, and email (f) DUNS number (g) Cage Code (h) Tax ID Number (i) and must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor and provide the commodities described below. Avance CS2 with ecoFLOW Anesthesia Machines See Statement of Work below. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM located on the web at www.sam.gov). It is desirable that any Offeror to have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. Requests for information and resultant responses shall be submitted directly to the contracting officer, Paul Speedling at Paul.Speedling@va.gov. NO TELEPHONE CALLS WILL BE ACCEPTED. STATEMENT OF WORK FOR Avance CS2 with ecoFLOW Anesthesia Machines Introduction and Overview This SOW involves acquiring two new Anesthesia Machines, in order to better serve the needs of our veterans. In adhering to the Mission Statement of the Northport VA, it is our duty to provide exceptional care to improve the overall health and well-being of our veterans, and the replacement of this tower will help accomplish this goal. Our surgical patients rely on the quality of our medical center, from pre-admission testing to the operating room and recovery period. Hospitals and health chiefs have the responsibility to ensure that every piece of medical equipment is worthy of the faith placed in it. This request exemplifies our commitment to offering efficient, safe and integrated quality healthcare capable of providing a full range of state-of-the-art surgical and perioperative care in an organization that is readily accessible and responsive to change. Background We have two GE Aestiva Anesthesia Machines that are at End of Life, as of November 30, 2015. The request is to replace these two machines. The Anesthesia Machines are used in the Operating Room for any operation requiring Anesthesia. It is responsible for delivering gases and sedative gases, monitoring vitals and respiratory events, and automates respiration of patient, etc. Objectives The primary objective for procurement of the Anesthesia Machine is to provide exceptional care to our veterans, and expand the services we provide for our veterans. With the replacement of two older machines, this allows us to continue providing great care to the Veterans we care for. Place of Performance The Anesthesia Machines will be used in the Operating Rooms at the Northport VA Medical Center. Scope of Work The scope would be to acquire the anesthesia machines to be used in the Northport VA Medical Center s Operating Room during operations requiring anesthesia.
