Description

Sole Source: Maintenance and Repair on the APEX MPS 40 Mall Room Equipment Machine. The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with OPEX Corporation for maintenance on the OPEX Mail Room Equipment. These products and services work in conjunction with SSA's OPEX MPS-40 sorting machine. OPEX doesn't permit any other company to offer maintenance on its equipment. Therefore, it's a sole source requirement for repairing and maintenance. The authority for this acquisition is set forth in the Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill this requirement. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. All respondents should submit responses to erica.young@ssa.gov by closing of this notice.
