- Redacted Justification and Approval for Sole Source Award Statement of Work Fortus 450 FDM Printer (3D Printer). The solicitation number is FA8601-18-Q-0042. The NAICS Code is 333244 and the small business size standard is 750. The government (AFLCMC/PZIBB) intends to purchase a Filament Deposition Modeling Printer (FDM 3D Printer). This device will be used at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at Wright-Patterson AFB. This notice is posted for the purpose of publicizing a sole source award. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. Quotations should be e-mailed to Andrew Boggs ( andrew.boggs@us.af.mil ) by 3:00 P.M. EST on 14 March 2018. Be advised that all correspondence sent via e-mail must contain the subject line "FA8601-18-Q-0042." The entire proposal must be contained in a single e-mail that does not exceed 5 megabytes including attachments, if any. E-mails with compressed files are not permitted. Note that e-mail filters at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base are designed to filter e-mails without subject lines or with suspicious subject lines or contents (i.e.,.exe or.zip files). Therefore, if the specified subject line is not included, the e-mail may not get through the e-mail filters. Also be advised that.zip or.exe files are not allowable attachments and may be deleted by the email filters at Wright-Patterson. If sending attachments with email, ensure only.pdf,.doc,.docx,.xls or.xlsx documents are sent. The email filter may delete any other form of attachments.
