- Description
- Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office (NCO2) intends to award a sole source contract award to INO Therapeutics LLC, 1425 US Route 206 Bedminster, NJ 08827. The Period of Performance for Contract Award will be base period of 4 months plus four twelve month s options. Nitric Oxide inhalation Gas for VA New York Harbor Healthcare System, 423 East 23rd Street New York, NY 10010 NAICS: 325412/Size Standard: 1,250 employees Respiratory Care Service provides a 24 hour 7 day coverage for inpatient Respiratory patients as well as multifaceted outpatient care. Nitric oxide is most commonly administered to patients receiving mechanical ventilation, although it may also be given through a face mask or nasal cannula. Limiting the mixing of nitric oxide and high concentrations of inspired oxygen reduces the risk of adverse effects resulting from the formation of nitrogen dioxide. This is minimized further by introducing the mixture of nitric oxide and nitrogen into the inspiratory limb of the ventilator tubing as near to the patient as possible and synchronizing injection of the mixture with inspiration. Inhaled nitric oxide is a selective pulmonary vasodilator that improves ventilation perfusion matching at low doses in patients with acute respiratory failure, potentially improving oxygenation and lowering pulmonary vascular resistance. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification prior to the response due date and time. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to perform the requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the award. Responses are due by March 29, 2018, 4:30 p.m. EST Responses shall be submitted via e-mail to safa.shleiwet@va.gov.
