Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to issue a fixed-price, sole source task order to General Electric Company for the modification of the CP-2218/AYK-22 Stores Management Processor (SMP) associated with Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 6042, "Stores Management Processor" under a standalone delivery order. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 USC 2304 (C) (1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." General Electric possesses the ability to tear down and rebuild the SMP while possessing the existing test suit required post modification; and as such, is the only known firm with the knowledge, experience, and technical expertise required to accomplish this effort. This announcement is for informational purposes only. Companies interested in subcontracting opportunities should contract General Electric Company directly.
