Description

The Naval Air Systems Command intends to award a 5-year Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery - Indefinite Quantity Contract, which may include options to Northrup Grumman Corporation for the procurement of Tech Refresh Mission Computers for the USMC UH-1Y and AH-1Z Helicopters. This procurement will include associated components, trays, Mezzanine Cards, and support for the last two production Lots of UH-1Y and AH-1Z aircraft, as well as retrofit for Lots 1-10 of the UH-1Y and AH-1Z fleet. This requirement will be procured in accordance with the statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1. Northrup Grumman Corporation is the original designer, and manufacturer of the Tech Refresh Mission Computer (TRMC) and is the only source with the requisite knowledge, data and capability to meet the Government's requirement. The TRMC is a highly developed and integrated amalgamation of hardware and software to which the Government has limited rights and with substantial investment established as the fleet accepted and approved computer platform for the UH-1Y and AH-1Z fleet.
