USCG ACADEMY SOURCES SOUGHT # 70Z0G1-18-S-PFA02200 REPLACE HVAC SYSTEM SOUTH RANGE CHASE A, USCG ACADEMY, NEW LONDON, CT PROJECT #6558607 SOURCES SOUGHT: THIS IS ONLY A MARKET SURVEY FOR WRITTEN INFORMATION ONLY. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS ANNOUCEMENT. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this announcement or any follow-up information requests. In order to protect the procurement integrity of any future procurement that may arise from this announcement, information regarding the technical point of contact will not be given and no appointments for presentations will be made. The U.S. Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone Small Business concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business concerns (SDVOSB), 8(a) certified Small Business concerns, Woman-Owned Small Business concerns, Small Business concerns, or solicit Unrestricted. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238220 Plumbing, Heating, and Air-Conditioning Contractors with a small business size standard of $15.0 million. The estimated value of the procurement is between $400,000.00 and $600,000.00. The U.S. Coast Guard is seeking Interested Vendors with successful past performance, current relevant experience, personnel/resources, equipment, and capability to perform the following work: The project scope consists of all work, including all labor and materials, necessary to replace HVAC units and BAS Controls as per drawings and specifications at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Scope of work under this project includes the following key improvements: 1. Remove and replace south range exhaust system 2. Remove and replace south range make-up air handler 3. Remove and replace steam PRV station 4. Provide new condensate return unit, sump pump required for proper condensate removal 5. Remove and replace space hot water unit heaters with new radiators 6. Remove existing standalone controls, provide Siemens Building Automation System (BAS) 7. Provide lead abatement services on existing exhaust system conducted by approved certified professional. Period of Performance: Upon review of market research results an invitation for bid (IFB) will be issued at www.fbo.gov. Award is anticipated to be made late in the 3rd quarter or early in the 4th quarter of FY 18. The on-site period of performance is broken down into two phases due to equipment lead-time and scheduling the work for least interruption to the cadet program: Replace PRV - 17 Sept thru 30 Sept 2018; Replace HVAC Equipment in Range - 1 Oct 2018 thru 30 Nov 2018. Your response is required no later than 28 March 2018. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient detail for a decision to be made on an applicable set-aside.
