Description
Request for Information Objectives/Information to be gathered for F-16 EW System: (FOUO) The USAF is researching both near-term (late FY21/early FY22 fielding) and long term (FY2024+) solutions to the Electronic Warfare (EW) system on the F-16. Near term solutions will provide a cost effective upgrade of current Radar Warning Receivers (RWR) to modernize the RWR capability to detect, identify, and accurately display current and future threats, provide precision location of ground threats, and enable Radio Frequency Compatibility (RFC) with the onboard sensors such as the APG-83 AESA Radar, APG-68 Mechanical scanned RADAR and the HARM Targeting System (HTS). Long term solutions will consist of a cost effective EW suite that incorporates a Digital Radar Warning Receiver (DRWR) capable of detecting and identifying current and future complex emitters in a dense RF environment. This suite would be integrated with other onboard sensors, to include the ASQ-213 HARM Targeting System (HTS), and provide enhanced Radio Frequency self-protection capability including, but not limited to, integrated defensive Electronic Counter Measures and offensive Electronic Attack. This system must be capable of accommodating future growth in a rapidly evolving EW threat environment. The Official Request for Information (RFI) and vendor responses to this effort are classified SECRET COLLATERAL and limited to US companies only. If interested, please contact AFLCMC/WWE Security Office GSSO no later than 1500 EST 4 April 2018. The full version of this RFI will be sent to interested parties no later than 13 April 2018. Security POC: Mr. Rodney Cossaboon (rodney.cossaboon@us.af.mil) and/or Ms. Rhiannon Lewis (rhiannon.lewis.ctr@us.af.mil) at 312-674-7731.
