- Specifications Document Notice of Intent Status: Open Description of Contract Action: Determination to Solicit from a Single Source Post Date: March 20, 2018 Close Date: March 29, 2018. File Name: PrimeNano ScanWave System 1.5 Contact Points: Marc Zurasky, Contract Specialist at marc.zurasky@nist.gov; Aron Krischel, Contracting Officer at aron.krischel@nist.gov. This requirement is conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b). This is a notice of intent to negotiate a sole source procurement only and is not a request for competitive quotations. However, contractors who want to challenge this sole source must submit an interest letter, as well as a capabilities statement that demonstrates their ability to meet this requirement. The interest letter, as well as a capabilities statement must demonstrate your organizations' ability to provide the product(s) and/or service(s) as described within this notice, as well as the associated Specifications Document. All interested organizations' must respond to this Special Notice by March 29, 05:00 P.M., Mountain Time, email your interest letter, as well as a capabilities statement directly to Marc Zurasky, Contract Specialist, at marc.zurasky@nist.gov, email subject header must include NB686090-18-01146. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. NIST shall not reimburse for any cost(s) connected with providing the interest letter, as well as a capabilities statement. Description: The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b) with PrimeNano, Inc., for a ScanWave 1.5 upgrade. The requirement is assigned a NAICS code of 334516, with a size standard of 1000.
