Description

This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. The intent of this notice is to provide the pre-solicitation synopsis for Project 170019, Interior and Exterior Repairs, BEQ M440, for Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Building M440 is located at the Camp Johnson site. The work includes, but is not limited to, the complete replacement of the architectural finishes, mechanical, and electrical systems. The Contractor shall replace the roof with a new sloped metal truss standing seam metal roof system. The building will be upgraded to conform to the current base anti-terrorism standards. In addition, the work includes the renovation and re-configuration of the first floor lounge into a laundry room, the construction of a new chiller yard to include a new brick enclosure, demolition of all dual temperature piping, connection of the new system to the base-wide ECMS, removal of asbestos as applicable, and incidental related work. The project will be procured utilizing sealed bidding, FAR Part 14. The proposed contract listed here is 100 percent small business set-aside. The Government will only accept bids from small business concerns. The NAICS code for this requirement is 236220, and the small business size standard is $36,500,000. The estimated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. The contract completion date will be 420 calendar days after the date of contract award. This is a new procurement. It does not replace an existing contract. No prior contract information exists. Bidders will be required to submit a bid bond of $3,000,000 or 20% (whichever is less) of the bid for work classified under Construction Wage Rate Requirements.
