- Solicitation Please see attached solicitation document. Construction Project: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Seattle District, proposes to conduct maintenance dredging (mechanical clamshell) in the Westhaven Cove Small Boat Basin. Up to 40,000 cubic yards (CY) of dredged material may be dredged and disposed of via bottom-dump barge in the Point Chehalis Open Water Disposal Site. Work is planned to begin 16 July 2018 and in-water work must be completed by 31 January 2019. The magnitude of construction is estimated to be between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The resulting contract will be firm-fixed-price. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All contractors proposing on Department of Defense (DoD) solicitations must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award of a contract. The purpose of this database is to provide basic business information and capabilities to the Government. The SAM website can be accessed at www.sam.gov. Contractors are encouraged to register as soon as possible. All new contracts can be made ONLY to contractors who are registered in SAM. This requirement applies to all DoD contract awards.
