- Portable Ventilators 2 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposals or quotes and does not obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses interested and capable of providing the requested commodities. The NAICS Code is 339112; size standard is 1,000 employees. 100% VOSB set-aside. Responses to this notice shall include the following: (a) company name b) address (c) socio-economic status, (d) point of contact (e) phone, fax, and email (f) DUNS number (g) Cage Code (h) Tax ID Number (i) and must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform as a contractor and provide the commodities described below. PB980 VENTILATORS See Statement of Work below. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued. Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM located on the web at www.sam.gov). It is desirable that any Offeror to have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses or Veteran Owned Small Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registry located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov. All submissions should be received no later than 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time on March 28, 2018. STATEMENT OF WORK GENERAL INFORMATION 1. Title of Project: PB980 VENTILATORS STATEMENT OF WORK 2. Scope of Work: The contractor shall provide all line items listed within SOW. The requirement shall to be able to offer VENTELATORS technology which will be used transport patients within James J. Peters VA Medical Center. 3. Background: The requirements will use in JJP VAMC throughout the inpatient units including respiratory (Spinal Court Injured) patients. The purchasing of the ventilators will support patient safety, efficiency of patient care and positive healthcare outcomes due to the readiness/availability of the equipment. The purchasing of this equipment will also enhance staff efficiency and response to emergency timely and efficiently. This equipment is expected to impact cost savings by decreasing employee as well as impact patient satisfaction, confidence in the services provided by the team and the security of the equipment utilized for their care. The current ventilators we presently have are old and end of life according to Biomedical engineering and these will be the replacement ventilators.
