- This Sources Sought Notice is being published for the purpose of conducting Market Research to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of all qualified sources to perform a potential requirement. This is not a solicitation. All costs associated with providing information, as requested by this Sources Sought Notice, shall be the responsibility of the submitter. Submission is voluntary. This requirement is for: BasinMod 2017 Annual Support and Maintenance Renewal on Existing BasinMod License #221 (March 8, 2018 ¿ March 7, 2019) and to set up a base +2 option year style maintenance renewal contract. Software maintenance renewals, which include continued licensing, updates, and technical support, are required for BasinMod software to efficiently analyze well data for thermal maturity research by the Eastern Environmental Resources Science Center (EERSC) team. This software has been used by EERSC staff for over 15 years and is the only commercially available package that can be used with the proprietary file format,.mod, that have. Presently, only Windows versions of this software are used; the software licenses required in this PR are: BasinMod Support and Maintenance on Existing BasinMod License #221 Specifications/Salient Characteristics BasinMod 2017 Maintenance and Technical Support: 1.Software updates that run on Windows computers 2.Technical support to help resolve routine operational problems BasinMod 2017 Software/Updates: 1.Update license #221 to BasinMod 2017 to include BasinMod Risk, Unconventional Resource Module (URM), and BasinMod Bridge. 2.Operate with and process PRA 1-D Model files from previous versions of BasinMod. 3.Import proprietary BasinMod file format (.mod). 4.Import multiple file formats from other software such as, but not limited to:.csv,.dat, and.grd. 5.GUI interface for the majority of operations. 6. Flex gridding for surface modelling and mapping Interested firms who feel that they can provide the Basin Mod Support and Maintenance on Existing BasinMod based upon the criteria specified herein, are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to this announcement. An affirmative response must include references with contact names, email address, and phone numbers. These references are to be for contracts similar in scope as the contract under consideration. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. All responses must be submitted NLT 03/29/2018 at 1 pm MST via e-mail to: cmetherd@usgs.gov. This is NOT a Request for Proposal (RFP) or Invitation for Bid (IFB) and does not constitute any commitment by the Government. Responses to this sources sought notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. All interested sources must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey. Any solicitation that may be issued will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities (Fedbizopps.gov) website and no paper copies will be provided.
