- Description
- 2019 Vehicle Buying - Interested Party Response Document QMAA-F6-180010-D Pre-Solicitation Conference Instructions The General Services Administration's Automotive Acquisition Support Division invites firms interested in submitting offers under the Government's upcoming 2019 model year solicitations for Light Vehicles and Light Duty Vocational Trucks to participate in the 2019 Federal Vehicle Standards process currently underway. This process, conducted via GSA's AutoStandards web application, assists GSA Vehicle Buying to develop the Government's technical requirements for motor vehicles. Vehicle types being sought by the Government include, but are not limited to: - Sedans and Passenger Station Wagons - Cargo and Passenger Vans - Sport Utility Vehicles (crossovers and full-size) - Pickup trucks - Cab & chassis - Vocational Trucks (to include box vans, stake bed trucks and light-duty dump trucks) The General Services Administration is the mandatory source for vehicles purchased in the United States under the Federal Property Management Regulation (FPMR) 101-26.501. GSA's Vehicle Purchasing Division purchases an estimated 50,000 new model year non-tactical vehicles for Federal Executive Agencies and the Department of Defense annually. These vehicle purchases are governed by the Federal Vehicle Standards, which are assimilated every year by GSA Engineering personnel. The AutoStandards process engages interested parties to provide technical data for vehicles to be potentially offered to the Government in response to these forthcoming solicitations and to assist in development of the Federal Vehicle Standards for the current model year. Participation in the AutoStandards process is highly encouraged for all vendors seeking to participate under GSA Vehicle Buying solicitations. Interested parties should complete the attached "2019 Vehicle Buying - Interested Party Response Document" and send via email to automotiveedi.partnerships@gsa.gov for required passwords to the AutoStandards point of entry with a carbon copy to dallas.brewer@gsa.gov. A user name and password is obtained by providing the: - Company name - Valid DUNS number - Remittance address - Business size (large/small) - User's name and contact information (email, phone number and fax number) - Desired makes & models To assist interested parties in the AutoStandards process, GSA will be conducting a Pre-Solicitation Conference via virtual meeting on Thursday, April 5, 2018, from 10:00am to 12:00pm Eastern, to discuss GSA Vehicle Buying Programs, Systems, and the contracting process.
